Osteopathy

Osteopathy is the belief that the body has a natural or innate ability to heal itself. The key factor for this process to occur is the ability of the body to circulate all the important fluids and liquids throughout.

Osteopathic treatment is directed towards the elimination of obstructions which impedes this normal circulation of bodily fluids and liquids and hinders regeneration. The practitioner palpates the body gently and senses the tissues or systems which require restoration.

Orthotics

Your feet are a vital part of your body’s overall functioning.  They are made up of many bones, muscles and ligaments.  Our chiropractors are well trained and specialize in identifying and correcting many foot conditions; including the prescription and dispensing of orthotics.  Often covered by many private insurance coverage, please inquire how we may help eliminate your foot problems.

What does your feet have to do with your body’s health?

The structure of your foot supports your entire weight.  The slightest misalignment of muscles and bones can cause many different problems.  The symptoms of faulty foot mechanics may begin with localized foot pain; bunions, hammer toes; arch, heel pain; leg, knee pain; hip or low back pain.  Custom-made orthotics are medical appliances that are made to correct your specific foot imbalance.  Orthotics work on the feet in the same way braces work on teeth – by exerting gentle, consistent pressure to bring foot muscles and bones back to proper alignment.  They fit comfortably in shoes and can be moved from shoe to shoe.  The devices, if made correctly, should always be made from a custom precise impression taken of your foot.
